Mama Star is Starfy and Starly's mother. She makes an appearance in every one of the games in the The Legendary Starfy series. In Densetsu no Starfy 2, she got kidnapped from Pufftop Palace by Ogura. In Densetsu no Starfy 3, she is playable in Pufftop Dance Battle. Player 3 plays her.

In Densetsu no Starfy 4, the colors of Starly's version of the Pufftop Clothes are the same as Mama Star's clothes, but Starly's version has two yellow stars on their right-side not visible on Mama Star's clothes. Also, this version has two parts which include the main part of the clothes and and an 'undergarment' attached to the main part, which is roughly circular when viewed from above, which is similar to the bottom section of Mama Star's clothes.

Before Densetsu no Starfy

Long ago, Mama Star and Papa Star got married and some unknown time later, their children Starfy and Starly were born.

In Densetsu no Starfy 2

Mama Star is kidnapped by Ogura and he takes her to his castle, where he imprisons her to get revenge against Starfy. While Mama Star is being taken away she drops Treasure Chests to leave a trail for Starfy to follow so that he could find Ogura, defeat him and rescue her.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Eventually Starfy was able to chase Ogura down to his castle. Starfy and Ogura fought with the fate of Mama Star at stake. If Starfy won, Ogura would be imprisoned in the Magic Jar again and Starfy would rescue and be reunited with Mama Star, but if Ogura won, Starfy would die and Mama Star would forever be Ogura's Prisoner.

+Long ago, Mama Star and Papa Star got married and some unknown time later, their children Starfy and Starly were born.

+Mama Star is kidnapped by Ogura and he takes her to his castle, where he imprisons her to get revenge against Starfy. While Mama Star is being taken away she drops Treasure Chests to leave a trail for Starfy to follow so that he could find Ogura, defeat him and rescue her.

+Eventually Starfy was able to chase Ogura down to his castle. Starfy and Ogura fought with the fate of Mama Star at stake. If Starfy won, Ogura would be imprisoned in the Magic Jar again and Starfy would rescue and be reunited with Mama Star, but if Ogura won, Starfy would die and Mama Star would forever be Ogura's Prisoner.
