Manga (Japanese: 漫画) are comics created in Japan, or manga-influenced works. There have been at least five different series of manga based on The Legendary Starfy series.

These include:

  1. Densetsu no Starfy (Sayori Abe) - The first series of The Legendary Starfy series manga, based on Densetsu no Starfy. It was illustrated by Sayori Abe. It only appeared in certain pages in issues of Shogakukan Grade Comics. (Japanese: 小学, literally "elementary school")
  2. Densetsu no Starfy (Yumiko Sudō) - The second series of The Legendary Starfy series manga, based on Densetsu no Starfy, Densetsu no Starfy 2 and Densetsu no Starfy 3. It was illustrated by Yumiko Sudō. It was frequently submitted to issues of CoroCoro Comic from June 2002 (before the official release of the game Densetsu no Starfy in September 2002) until October 2005. The first two volumes of this manga series were available for purchase in the form of a booklet from 28th October 2003 and 28th September 2005 respectively. (ISBN:4091431410 and 4091431429)
  3. Densetsu no Starfy R - The third series of The Legendary Starfy series manga, based on Densetsu no Starfy 4. Its name is abbreviated from "Densetsu no Starfy Returns". It was regularly submitted to CoroCoro Comic. The first volume of the manga was also available as a 192 page booklet for ¥410 from 28th July 2008. (ISBN:9784091406859)
  4. Character Parfait manga - In 2008, at least two colored manga based on The Legendary Starfy were created and published in the Character Parfait magazine, starting from volume 8. [1]
  5. Video Game Magazine manga/Starfy's Adventure - Colored manga related to The Legendary Starfy appeared in the November 2008 edition of Enterbrain's Video Game Magazine. It came with a mini manga book called Starfy's Adventure.

Manga may also refer to the Story cartoons (known in Japan as manga) that appear in The Legendary Starfy. The Japanese version's Story cutscenes appear on the screen from right-to-left in the style of manga.
