Name origin

I'm fairly sure 'ひきさきぬま' refers to how the lake/pond/swamp kind of resembles a tear in the landscape (not the liquid but like a tear after pulling something apart) but this is an educated guess. If you look at it from the Stage Select or the City, it forms a 'C' like shape. I think your translation may have been out of context, as according to here, 'hikisaki' also means to tear up.

Should I move this to something like "Tear Lake"? --Torchickens (talk) 16:02, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

I remember having a LOT of trouble finding a translation for this name. I even had to get help from someone back when I first added this article and it still didn't make sense once I got an answer. I didn't mention that 'numa" was was in the name though. Maybe if I did, I would've gotten a better answer. Star Light (talk) 21:14, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
I just asked Azusa Tajima (the director of Densetsu no Starfy 4) on Twitter for an answer. I'm having second thoughts because 'Pulling Ahead' might mean you're getting closer to Dejiru's Castle in a similar style to Tree of Beginning possibly meaning your adventure is just beginning. I'll update with a response if I get one, and it's a shame that there doesn't seem to be any kanji referencing the name of the Stage. --Torchickens (talk) 13:58, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
