Much of his life after that is unknown and he seemed to have not have had much contact with Starfy's father after the latter became the king of [[Pufftop Palace|Pufftop]] and had Starfy. He also knows [[Old Man Vern]] from when he was young.

Old Man Lobber finds Starfy after he fell out of [[Pufftop]]. He takes Starfy to his home to practice his basic abilities. After Starfy leaves Old Man Lobber's house they meet again much later in the game. Old Man Lobber tells Starfy and [[Moe]] more about [[Ogura]] at this point.

After falling out of Pufftop again, Starfy and Moe go to Lobber's Cave to ask him for advice on how to rescue [[Mama Star]], who has been kidnapped by Ogura as payback for Starfy sealing him in the Jar during the events of Starfy 1. Old Man Lobber had already received word of the situation, but tells the duo to not be hasty as Starfy would stand no chance as he is. Old Man Lobber then puts up signs so Starfy could remember his basic Abilities and waits for Starfy further into the cave. When Starfy meets up with Lobber, he shows Starfy a treasure chest which holds one of Pufftop’s [[Stuff]] inside, believing that it may be a memento Starfy can follow to find his mother.

During the events of World 11, [[Ogura Castle|Ogura’s Castle]], Starfy and Moe eventually get caught in a poison gas trap that renders them unconscious. A mysterious figure (Lobber) then saves them from the trap, and explains in an anonymous note that they need to hit blocks to match the shape shown on the block over the room’s respective exit. The mysterious figure continues to leave anonymous notes throughout the remaining stages until 11-6. Starfy challenges Ogura but cannot damage him. Ogura then ends the battle handily, leaving Starfy hurt and defenseless. Moe tries to protect Starfy, but to no avail. Ogura, cloaked in flames, charges towards the duo, but before Ogura can finish them off, Lobber saves both of them and threatens to re-seal Ogura in the Jar if he does not put a stop to his evil ways. Ogura recalls his fight with a younger Lobber and Papa Star and angrily challenges Lobber to a fight. After a brief, but intense clash, neither of the two defeats the other, but Ogura flees further into the castle, heavily weakened. After a brief conversation, Lobber gives the duo the Jar and sends them off to fight and defeat Ogura.

During the events of the post game, Lobber informs Starfy of other things he can collect besides Treasures. Those items being Sheet Music and Stuff he has yet to find (both of which can be found in the stages the player played through during the main game. Ex. The Sheet Music for the Opening Theme is in 1-1, while refighting certain bosses, like Puchi Ogura #2, rewards the player with Stuff.)

After the events of the opening, the trio no longer have the Jar to once again defeat Ogura, so they seek out Lobber’s guidance. Lobber, initially shocked by the idea that there’s a villain stronger than Ogura, tells Starfy to read signs and remember his Abilities as usual. When Starfy meets with Lobber again, Lobber tells him that in spite of not having the Jar, that by meeting with allies and becoming stronger on his adventure, he will find a solution. Later, during the events of [[Misty Town]], the mist causes Ogura to remember his first fight against a younger Papa Star and Lobber, and gets angry, saying that he won’t lose this time, and boasting that by working with [[Evil|that man]], no one will stand a chance against him.

After hearing about the distress in the [[Amiy Kingdom]] from [[Mattel]], Starfy returns to the sea along with Moe and Starly where they accidentally fall on Old Man Lobber's bonsai tree. Like in previous games he puts up signs for Starfy to remember his basic Abilities, but also asks him to bring him his [[Repair Kit| Bonsai Repair Kit]] so he can tend to his damaged bonsai. After returning with the Repair Kit, Lobber tells the trio to travel to other [[City|Cities]] to discover the identity of the person who stole the [[Mon Amour Stone]], and gives them the [[Densetsu no Starfy 4/Stuff#Clothes|Striped Swimsuit]]. During the events prior to entering the fourth stage of [[Lobber's Villa]], Lobber receives a call from [[Lovely]] and the others ([[Savako]] and [[Manianko]]) and tells Starfy, Starly, and Moe to head to [[Tree of Beginning| the Tree of Beginnings]]. When Starly asks where it is, Lobber holds up a rose that he says houses a [[Lovewizumi|fairy]] that could warp them directly to the second world. However, before Lobber could hand them the rose, [[Konk]] steals it and says that he’ll give it to Ruby, who will become his bride.

After beating all ten worlds of ''The Legendary Starfy'', and beating certain time limits in each level of the last stage ([[??? (stage)|???]]), Starfy will be able to fight Old Man Lobber as a hidden, optional boss in Stage 10-7, known as Master Lobber (Japanese: マスター • ロブ) in this particular case. He is fought underwater and challenges Starfy, as a test to see how much he has progressed in his adventure, and how much he is worthy of his title of prince of Pufftop. Master Lobber will initially attack by holding up an energy shield around him and then charging at Starfy. If he dashes into the middle of the room, he will shoot Starfy with bullets.

When Master Lobber has one or two health points remaining, he will turn gold and use his "Clakkity" move, which involves charging at Starfy and crushing him. Old Man Lobber is invincible while he is gold, though he will eventually wear himself out, stop charging at Starfy, lose his golden hue and become vulnerable again. If Old Man Lobber catches Starfy with this attack, Starfy will lose all of his health, regardless of his current HP. This attack is very difficult to avoid compared to the attacks of other bosses fought prior to the main game's completion. To dodge this move, Starfy will have to perform a [[Turbo Swim]] in the right direction, for example by performing a Turbo Swim towards the top or bottom of the area when he is initially heading left or right and making Master Lobber charge off of the screen. Additionally, if the player mashes the D-Pad during the cutscene, they will instead survive on one heart regardless of their HP before getting hit.

The '''Voodoo Doll''' (Japanese: のろいのにんぎょう) also known as the '''Doll''' (Japanese: ニンギョウ) is an item in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 4]]'', belonging to [[Zozobi]]. It is found in [[Old Tower]] (Stage 8-1). It is a magic doll resembling a blue teddy bear wearing a red dress and ribbon with blond hair. Zozobi asks [[Starfy]] to find it. Zozobi explains that his doll is cursed and ran away from him, hence why he lost it. [[Moe]], being scared of the supernatual as per usual, angers him after he suggests getting rid of the doll.

In Stage 8-1, the Doll has the ability to disappear and seemingly teleport elsewhere as Starfy approaches it. The Doll will disappear four times before Starfy can obtain it. The first three times it will teleport to the door to the next room and come through it. The final time it will teleport to the top of a large room.

As a reward for returning the Voodoo Doll, Zozobi rewards Starfy, [[Starly]] and [[Moe]] with the [[Densetsu no Starfy 4/Stuff#Accessories|Yōkai Makeup]] [[Stuff|Accessory]].

According to optional dialogue before 8-2, Zozobi's doll was created by his mother for him, hence why he's so sensitive about Moe's comments about it.

Searching for Chiwan, the man who owns the all-knowing genie of the lamp, [[Starfy]], [[Starly]], and [[Moe]] come across two older men, one trying to stop the other from gorging themselves off snacks. The trio hears "genie" and asks the turban-wearing man if he is Chiwan, to which he confirms, formally introducing himself and Plum. They ask Plum if he can give any information about Dejeel, but the mention of her name frightens him, making the genie run off towards "{{alttext|Carpet Cavern|じゅうたんどうくつ]]". Chiwan mentions that Plum may have retreated there since that's where his favorite snack, a [[Cake|cake]], is there. Starly offers to go, wanting to eat some cake, quickly correcting herself and running off towards the cave.

Plum is found in the stage, but quickly disappears. He will only reappear once Starly begins pushing the cake. With the cake as a lure, Starly must navigate the room and push the cake underneath the cage to catch Plum. However, if Plum catches up to her and gets to the cake, she will have to start over. Starly can scare off Plum by [[Star Spin|spinning]] into him, but he will begin to go after the cake again shortly after. Once she has pushed the cake underneath the cage, Plum begins eating it as the cage falls on top of him, and forcing him to withdraw back into [[Plum's Genie Lamp|his lamp]].

Returning to Chiwan, he gives Starly the [https://www.starfywiki.org/wiki/Densetsu_no_Starfy_4/Stuff#Clothes Indian Clothes] [[Stuff]] item and Moe tells Plum to just tell them what they want to know. The other four Transforming Stones are upgrades to the aforementioned forms that give enhanced abilities. The fact that Mattel is already with someone leaves Starfy feeling depressed in his room after the event. Starly seemed to accept it even though this special person is Coral, and [[Moe]] failed to make Starfy happy again, however, Starfy accepts it in time and continues his adventure with Starly and Moe to collect all the [[Answers Card]]s and truly defeat [[Degil]]. After Degil is defeated, Coral and Mattel get married and Mattel thanks everyone, in particular Starfy for his help in saving the Amiy Kingdom.

'''Cupid's Bow and Arrow''' (Japanese: キューピットのゆみや) is an item in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 4]]'', found in [[Cupid Village]]. In the story, it is parted from [[Anju]] twice.

The first time it is stolen by [[Moe's siblings]]. [[Starfy]], [[Starly]] and [[Moe]] have to locate all three of them in Stage 3-1. After finding Moe's siblings, when Starfy and others return to Anju, Moe's siblings reveal Cupid's Bow and Arrow and they apologize for stealing it, stating that they only meant to borrow the item before being scared off by bad guys. When [[Starly]] asks why they stole it, Moe's siblings reply that they heard that the bow and arrow had the power to make those struck by it fall in love, intending to make [[Ruby]] fall in love with their big brother. After a stern talking to from Moe, and his speech impressing Anju, she rewards Starfy and others with the [[Densetsu no Starfy 4/Stuff#Accessories|Angel Wings]] (Japanese: てんしのはね) [[Stuff|Accessory]].

The second time the bow is stolen is after the events of Stage 3-3. Earlier in story, the shapeshifter [[Akureima]] had kidnapped [[Ruby]] and left her at the end of Stage 3-2. Once the trio save Ruby, they hear Anju scream, only to find her face to face with Akureima. They claim that they have stolen the bow and arrow, and leaves to receive his reward from [[Dejeel]]. Worried that they may not be lying (in spite of her doubts), Anju asks Starfy and others to confirm whether the bow and arrow have truly been stolen, offering a reward for their efforts. After returning with the bow and arrow, Akureima thanks the group for finding Cupid Village's sacred treasure for him before absconding with it. Anju begins to panic, wondering what they should do now that Cupid's Bow and Arrow actually has been stolen. Moe tells her to calm down, demanding their reward for helping, resulting in Anju giving the three the [[Densetsu no Starfy 4/Stuff#Clothes|Gym Clothes]] (Japanese: たいそうふく) Stuff Item.

After stealing the bow, Akureima attempts to hide as a fake [[Harisen-san]] in groups of them in three rooms of Stage 3-4.

To reveal Akureima, Starfy must use his [[Star Spin]] on a cannon to fire a cannonball into a crown-wearing cloud in each room. This makes an angry [[Kumo Ojisan]] appear with a bump on its head; startling the Harisen-san and causing them to reveal their spikes. Akureima can be recognized because the fake Harisen-san reveals tentacles instead of spikes.

After Starfy reveals Akureima's disguise three times, he flees into the boss room where Starfy must defeat him to retrieve Cupid's Bow and Arrow and progress to the [[Spring of Love]].

*The photos of Moe's three siblings were placed on a wanted board with 3,000 (baby brother), 10,000 (younger brother) and 8,000 (sister) [[Pearl]] rewards. The player never receives these rewards in the actual game.

After confronting [[Lovely]] and her friends about falsely accusing Torito, they think about anyone else suspicious before landing on "someone wearing some strange outfit" further in the area. Going to investigate, the trio meet Kittana for the first time, who was training at the time of the "crime". Though he recalls seeing someone actually suspicious not too long ago, due to being offended at being called suspicious, he refuses to say anything unless they can find weaknesses in a technique he's been practicing. If they can, he offers to teach Starly how to perform the [[Wall Jump]], refusing to do the same for Starfy due to him knowing the [[Air Jump|technique]] of his rival, [[Shurikit]]. After Moe gives Starly a bag of matatabi, or [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actinidia_polygama silver vine], and a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typha cattail plant] to draw Kittana out of hiding, he is found in disbelief that his technique has a weak point. He then keeps true to his word, teaching Starly how to Wall Jump and giving her information after she finishes practicing the move. He tells her that he saw this "suspicious person" not too far from here, adding that [[Sansho Daddy|Salandad]] lives nearby as well. Though he worries for Salandad, Starly assures him that she'll deal with whoever it is and that she'll make sure to use Kittana's technique. Wishing her the best, Kittana gives Starly the [[Densetsu no Starfy 3/Stuff#Accessories|Eyepatch]] [[Stuff|Stuff Item]].

Though Kyorozou makes his first appearance in the fourth stage of the [[Jungle]], he is first mentioned in stage 1 of the same world when [[Mantahan|Manta-han]] mentions that Moe owes him the pearls that his father borrowed from him. [[Starfy]], [[Starly]], and [[Moe]] then spend the next two levels finding the Treasure Cave so they can pay back what Moe owes Manta-han until 5-4. Starly sees a green clam, Kyorozou, and mistakes him for Moe. After cornering [[Echigyoya]], Kyorozou can be seen stealing some of the treasure they all came here for. Furious that he would dare steal his treasure, Manta-han tells Moe and the others to go teach Kyorozou a lesson. This is before being stopped by [[Enbiraru]], who beats Kyorozou up for stealing his treasure.

Kyorozou would make his next appearance in the fourth stage of the [[Undersea Ruins]], where he steals the [[Jewels|jewels]] from the trio and [[Wario]], leaving them unable to open the door in the middle of the room. After giving chase and getting the jewels back, Moe gets ready to beat up his father when Kyorozou begs for forgiveness and tells them about the "Old Castle Search Party", a group of [[Pufftop Guard|Pufftop Guards]] looking for the entrance to the [[Old Castle]] in the [[Sea of Sky]]. He then takes his leave, and the trio son join him after dealing with [[Gachatakkoru]].

When the trio catch up to Kyorozou, they find him speaking to a Pufftop Guard, asking to join the search party. Moe commends his father for helping them so soon, but gets worried after hearing about the entrance exam for the Old Castle Search Party. Kyorozou, to Moe's disappointment, never passes the entrance exam. However, this is due to Kyorozou actually finding the Old Castle during it. He then encounters [[Evil]], who promises him large amounts of treasure. In exchange, Kyorozou would tell him the whereabouts of the Pufftop Soldiers searching for the Old Castle. Kyorozou agrees to this, and Evil sends his henchmen to attack the Pufftop Guards, wiping them all out. He would then work under Evil, assisting him by hiding the entrance to the Old Castle via a machine that fills the area with clouds, making it hard to see. After Starly finds the switch to turn said machine off, Kyorozou retreats to the Old Castle while the trio fight [[Muga]].

The trio would meet Kyorozou for the last time in stage 3 of the Old Castle, where he lays a trap for his son. After Moe tries to attack his father, he reveals that he was never really there, and a group of [[Trappa|Trappas]] kidnap Moe. After waking up, Moe asks his father what he's planning, to which he answers that his son will be helping "Lord Evil". Moe, refusing to do so, is then trapped in a cage of lightning by Evil. Evil tells Moe that if Starfy and Starly touch the electrified ring surrounding them, it'd be the end for them, but that Moe would be spared if he lies to them, saying that they should touch it. Evil then gives Moe a microphone to tell the two to touch the ring, but Moe does the opposite, saving their lives. After this, Evil prepares to kill Moe, but Kyorozou pushes Moe out of the way to protect him, taking the brunt of Evil's lightning attack. Kyorozou and Moe have a heartfelt talk, and he gives Starfy the Stuff Item: the [[Densetsu no Starfy 3/Stuff#Accessories|Beloved Dog]]. Moe says he doesn't have to give them anything, just that he has to apologize to his siblings and live with them again. Kyorozou agrees, but says that he has to apologize to Moe's mother first, and takes his final breath.

A photo of Kyorozou by himself as well as one with his wife together can be seen in Moe's House, and interacting with certain objects causes Moe to talk about his late father. Some are simply Moe wondering if he'll look like his father when he gets older, while others make him reminisce on his time with him when he was younger.

'''Pengod''' is a boss in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 3]]''. He is a ferocious monster who wishes to freeze anything and everything, though his motives for doing so are unknown. He was sealed in ice long ago, but due to the evil magic scattered by [[Ogura]] after flying overhead, he was free once again. After hearing this, the [[The Jellato Sisters|Jellato Sisters]] went to go stop him, but were dealt with easily and frozen.

==Battle==

He cannot be attacked until the ice balls around him are destroyed. To do this, the player must make all the ice balls the same color by using [[Star Spin]] to change their colors. When spun into the ice turns from red to yellow, yellow to blue, and blue to red. Pengod has four attacks he'll use if the ice balls have not been broken yet. He can shoot about 8-9 balls of ice in a circle that travel in straight lines and are fairly simple to avoid. He can also shoot 3-4 snowflake shaped icicles that travel in at least three the four cardinal directions, expanding once they hit the edges of the area. He can also release icicles that will home onto the player's location after a while, similar to an attack Ogura can perform in his final form in Starfy 2. Finally, Pengod can dive towards the player, stopping for a short time before repeating the same attack. This attack leaves Pengod's ice shield the most vulnerable, but the player should be careful for the ensuing dashes (indicated by Pengod beginning to spin once more).

The '''Evil Crystals''' (Japanese: {{alttext|エビルクリスタ|Ebiru Kurisuta}}) are items that are featured in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 3]]''. They are only obtainable after defeating [[Ogura|Altered Ogura]] for the first time. These items are round, red crystals used together to truly defeat [[Evil]]. While 40 of them are found at the end of levels unlocked in the post game, one of them is given by the [[Pufftop Scholar]], while Evil holds the final Evil Crystal. In the true ending, however, Ogura has a change of heart and betrays Evil, stealing his Evil Crystal to defeat him alongside the other 41 Starfy and the others collected.

[[Starfy]], [[Starly]] and [[Moe]] seek advice from the Pufftop Scholar on how to defeat [[Ogura]] without the [[Jar]], who then answers in a lecture that all 42 Evil Crystals must be gathered, as their magic would be strong enough to defeat any "wicked beings" (ワルモノ, literally translated as "villains"). When Starfy, Starly and Moe return to [[Old Castle]] with 41 Evil Crystals and "defeat" Evil, he laughs at them, as he has already said that 41 crystals wouldn't be enough to defeat him. Evil prepares to kill them, until Ogura appears to spare the last crystal, betraying his master. This puts an end to Evil, and peace is returned to [[Pufftop|Pufftop Kingdom]], however Ogura had sacrificed his life to help Starfy, Starly, and Moe in the process.

Though Kyorozou makes his first appearance in the fourth stage of the [[Jungle]], he is first mentioned in stage 1 of the same world when [[Mantahan|Manta-han]] mentions that Moe owes him the pearls that his father borrowed from him. [[Starfy]], [[Starly]], and [[Moe]] then spend the next two levels finding the Treasure Cave so they can pay back what Moe owes Manta-han until 5-4. Starly sees a green clam, Kyorozou, and mistakes him for Moe. After cornering [[Echigyoya]], Kyorozou can be seen stealing some of the treasure they all came here for. Furious that he would dare steal his treasure, Manta-han tells Moe and the others to go teach Kyorozou a lesson. This is before being stopped by [[Enbiraru]], who beats Kyorozou up for stealing his treasure.

Kyorozou would make his next appearance in the fourth stage of the [[Undersea Ruins]], where he steals the [[Jewels|jewels]] from the trio and [[Wario]], leaving them unable to open the door in the middle of the room. After giving chase and getting the jewels back, Moe gets ready to beat up his father when Kyorozou begs for forgiveness and tells them about the "Old Castle Search Party", a group of [[Pufftop Guard|Pufftop Guards]] looking for the entrance to the [[Old Castle]] in the [[Sea of Sky]]. He then takes his leave, and the trio son join him after dealing with [[Gachatakkoru]].

When the trio catch up to Kyorozou, they find him speaking to a Pufftop Guard, asking to join the search party. Moe commends his father for helping them so soon, but gets worried after hearing about the entrance exam for the Old Castle Search Party. Kyorozou, to Moe's disappointment, never passes the entrance exam. However, this is due to Kyorozou actually finding the Old Castle during it. He then encounters [[Evil]], who promises him large amounts of treasure. In exchange, Kyorozou would tell him the whereabouts of the Pufftop Soldiers searching for the Old Castle. Kyorozou agrees to this, and Evil sends his henchmen to attack the Pufftop Guards, wiping them all out. He would then work under Evil, assisting him by hiding the entrance to the Old Castle via a machine that fills the area with clouds, making it hard to see. After Starly finds the switch to turn said machine off, Kyorozou retreats to the Old Castle while the trio fight [[Muga]].

The trio would meet Kyorozou for the last time in stage 3 of the Old Castle, where he lays a trap for his son. After Moe tries to attack his father, he reveals that he was never really there, and a group of [[Trappa|Trappas]] kidnap Moe. After waking up, Moe asks his father what he's planning, to which he answers that his son will be helping "Lord Evil". Moe, refusing to do so, is then trapped in a cage of lightning by Evil. Evil tells Moe that if Starfy and Starly touch the electrified ring surrounding them, it'd be the end for them, but that Moe would be spared if he lies to them, saying that they should touch it. Evil then gives Moe a microphone to tell the two to touch the ring, but Moe does the opposite, saving their lives. After this, Evil prepares to kill Moe, but Kyorozou pushes Moe out of the way to protect him, taking the brunt of Evil's lightning attack. Kyorozou and Moe have a heartfelt talk, and he gives Starfy the Stuff Item: the [[Densetsu no Starfy 3/Stuff#Accessories|Beloved Dog]]. Moe says he doesn't have to give them anything, just that he has to apologize to his siblings and live with them again. Kyorozou agrees, but says that he has to apologize to Moe's mother first, and takes his final breath.

Prior to the beginning of the game, Degil was smitten with the handsome Prince Coral of the Amiy Kingdom, but sadly for her, he was already in love with another. So in order to make him her husband and achieve her ambition of ruling the kingdom she took control of the Mon Amour Stone, the kingdom's source of power and used it to bring chaos to the land and gain ultimate power.

Despite her successful takeover of the kingdom, she was unaware that one of the castle maids, [[Mattel]], had escaped and fled to [[Pufftop]] where she sought the help of the legendary [[Starfy]] to save the kingdom. However, Degil soon found out about this plan and used her hoard of minions and powerful allies to crush Starfy and his friends. Starfy and his friends, nevertheless would end victorious. Degil's fate is ambiguous, and it is implied after the credits that after Degil was defeated, she may have shrunk in size and slithered the ground like a snake. Mattel and [[Prince Coral]] would eventually marry, heartbreaking both Starfy and Starly for a short time, as they had a crush on Mattel and Coral respectively.

There are three phases to the battle with Degil.

Starfy or Starly must keep attacking pieces of her face while avoiding blades coming from her hair, and being imprisoned in a crystal heart from Degil's kiss. After one part of her face has been destroyed, the player character will be teleported to the area of the Mon Amour Stone, which will attack Starfy or Starly with a bunch of hearts. After a while, the player character will be teleported back, and Starfy or Starly will have to continue destroying her face. If the player character wishes to reach the top of her head, Starfy or Starly must climb on Degil's hands and reach the area, but if he/she stays on the hand too long, he/she will take damage. After sustaining a certain amount of damage, Degil might teleport Starfy or Starly to the other side of the area, where he/she can collect 10 giant pink [[Pearl]]s to replenish the [[Spill|SP]] bar. She may also slowly regenerate pieces of her face, but Starfy or Starly can stop the regeneration by striking the designated area of regeneration. After breaking every part of her face, Degil is finally defeated.

She also moves horizontally (and vertically if she is low on health) on the screen with her spiny body. Then she rotates her body for a short amount of time, trying to damage Starfy/Starly. She also spits out an array of roses and thorns. She also swallows Starfy/Starly, which is undodgeable, and tries to damage him through a slow process of digestion, but Starfy can escape by spinning wildly from the inside of her body.

In her second form, she mainly has enemies and whirlwinds as protectors of her cavity, but direct contact with the rest of her teeth can damage Starfy/Starly, and after the cavity takes enough damage, all the teeth will fall form Degil's gums and damage Starfy/Starly.

In her final form, she attacks by shooting blades from her hair. She also blows a kiss that sends out a heart that homes in on Starfy or Starly, and if it hits, he/she is trapped in a crystal heart which immobilizes spinning, [[swim]]ming, and [[jump]]ing. Also, when Starfy or Starly stays on Degil's hand for too long, she may attempt to pinch him/her. When low on health, she can teleport Starfy or Starly to the other side of the battle field. This doesn't damage him/her, but the spike balls on the sides will damage Starfy or Starly if he/she touches them, but there are also pink Pearls for Starfy to collect to replenish his SP bar. When on even lower health points, she will try to regenerate a piece of her face, which can be stopped if Starfy or Starly spins on the designated area of regeneration and knocks off the regeneration beads. After a piece of her face is destroyed, Starfy or Starly will be teleported to the Mon Amour Stone, where it will attack him with hearts, and the more pieces of Degil's face destroyed, the more speed the hearts will gain.

Note: At the beginning of each fight, Degil will let out a high pitched evil laugh. When a good amount of damage is taken, she will howl loudly in pain.

*デ (de) may be from demon or devil. ジール (jīru) is similar to [[wiktionary:zeal|zeal]]; a word for great energy or enthusiasm to reach an objective, which in Degil's case would describe her enthusiasm to marry prince [[Coral]], stop Starfy and his friends and terrorize the [[Amiy Kingdom]]. The īru ending notably sounds like "[[wiktionary:eel|eel]]" as well. Degil's name could also be a play on the French expression [[wiktionary:de rigueur|de rigueur]]. It could also be based on the French word for desire “désir”, which is very similar to the Japanese pronunciation of Dejeel’s name.

After falling out of Pufftop again, Starfy and Moe go to Lobber's Cave to ask him for advice on how to rescue [[Mama Star]], who has been kidnapped by Ogura as payback for Starfy sealing him in the Jar during the events of Starfy 1. Old Man Lobber had already received word of the situation, but tells the duo to not be hasty as Starfy would stand no chance as he is. Old Man Lobber then puts up signs so Starfy could remember his basic Abilities and waits for Starfy further into the cave. When Starfy meets up with Lobber, he shows Starfy a treasure chest which holds one of Pufftop’s [[Stuff]] inside, believing that it may be a memento Starfy can follow to find his mother.

During the events of World 11, [[Ogura Castle|Ogura’s Castle]], Starfy and Moe eventually get caught in a poison gas trap that renders them unconscious. A mysterious figure (Lobber) then saves them from the trap, and explains in an anonymous note that they need to hit blocks to match the shape shown on the block over the room’s respective exit. The mysterious figure continues to leave anonymous notes throughout the remaining stages until 11-6. Starfy challenges Ogura but cannot damage him. Ogura then ends the battle handily, leaving Starfy hurt and defenseless. Moe tries to protect Starfy, but to no avail. Ogura, cloaked in flames, charges towards the duo, but before Ogura can finish them off, Lobber saves both of them and threatens to re-seal Ogura in the Jar if he does not put a stop to his evil ways. Ogura recalls his fight with a younger Lobber and Papa Star and angrily challenges Lobber to a fight. After a brief, but intense clash, neither of the two defeats the other, but Ogura flees further into the castle, heavily weakened. After a brief conversation, Lobber gives the duo the Jar and sends them off to fight and defeat Ogura.

During the events of the post game, Lobber informs Starfy of other things he can collect besides Treasures. Those items being Sheet Music and Stuff he has yet to find (both of which can be found in the stages the player played through during the main game. Ex. When Starfy meets with Lobber again, Lobber tells him that in spite of not having the Jar, that by meeting with allies and becoming stronger on his adventure, he will find a solution. After returning with the Repair Kit, Lobber tells the trio to travel to other [[City|Cities]] to discover the identity of the person who stole the [[Mon Amour Stone]], and gives them the [[Densetsu no Starfy 4/Stuff#Clothes|Striped Swimsuit]]. During the events prior to entering the fourth stage of [[Lobber's Villa]], Lobber receives a call from [[Lovely]] and the others ([[Savako]] and [[Manianko]]) and tells Starfy, Starly, and Moe to head to [[Tree of Beginning| the Tree of Beginnings]]. When Starly asks where it is, Lobber holds up a rose that he says houses a [[Lovewizumi|fairy]] that could warp them directly to the second world. However, before Lobber could hand them the rose, [[Konk]] steals it and says that he’ll give it to Ruby, who will become his bride.

(stage)|???]]), Starfy will be able to fight Old Man Lobber as a hidden, optional boss in Stage 10-7, known as Master Lobber (Japanese: マスター • ロブ) in this particular case. He is fought underwater and challenges Starfy, as a test to see how much he has progressed in his adventure, and how much he is worthy of his title of prince of Pufftop. Master Lobber will initially attack by holding up an energy shield around him and then charging at Starfy. If he dashes into the middle of the room, he will shoot Starfy with bullets.

When Master Lobber has one or two health points remaining, he will turn gold and use his "Clakkity" move, which involves charging at Starfy and crushing him. Old Man Lobber is invincible while he is gold, though he will eventually wear himself out, stop charging at Starfy, lose his golden hue and become vulnerable again. If Old Man Lobber touches Starfy while he is gold, Starfy will instantly lose all of his health points and receive a Game Over. This attack is very difficult to avoid compared to the attacks of other bosses fought prior to the main game's completion. To dodge this move, Starfy will have to perform a [[Turbo Swim]] in the right direction, for example by performing a Turbo Swim towards the top or bottom of the area when he is initially heading left or right and making Master Lobber charge off of the screen.

In the Japanese version of Starfy 5, there are some minor changes to the physical Bunnera Times paper. Such as a subtitle that says "Prince Starfy" beside his picture instead of under it, and a lack of text in the first shot of the newspaper (though it is present in the second). Additionally, Starfy is not referred to as "The Hero of the Galaxy". This implies that this is the first they're hearing of Starfy, instead of the prince being a well known figure in Bunnera. After locating the missing Tone of Ocean instrument, Wozart badly plays [[Tone of Ocean (song)|the song of the same name]] (it is suspected that Wozart's Tone of Ocean is unfortunately a counterfeit and by a stroke of luck Starfy and Moe find the real one later). This shocks Starfy and Moe, but it also frightens off a pair of [[Nogo]] that were blocking Starfy and Moe's path.

Wotsaruto also appears in the background of the sound test after completion of the main game. Selecting any option on the sound test will show Wotsaruto playing the Tone of Ocean.

[[Starfy]] and [[Moe]] meet Wozart again in [[Pitch Dark Cave]] (Stage 6-1), where Wozart talks to Moe. Wozart has a flashback, where the ground shakes and {{PuchiOgura|6}}, wearing a [[Kigurumi (boss)|Kigurumi]] appears and notices Wozart. The Puchi Ogura recognizes Wozart as a famous musician and asks them to compose him a theme song. After refusing, the Puchi Ogura gets angry, causing Wozart to run away. Later, in the present, the ground shakes and Puchi Ogura #6 wearing the Kigurumi appears in person. After a brief argument with Wozart, the Puchi Ogura snaps and kidnaps Wozart.

Starfy and Moe later catch up with Puchi Ogura #6. Puchi Ogura #6 talks to Wozart, modeling the song he wants Wozart to compose. Wozart, still refusing to compose, angers the Puchi Ogura who grabs and walks off with them. After catching up with Puchi Ogura #6 again, Moe intervenes and stops Puchi Ogura #6 from hurting Wozart. Moe offers to make, and even sing, a song for Puchi Ogura #6, which the Puchi Ogura allows. Moe begins to sing, causing the area to shake itself and rocks to fall from the ceiling. This frightens not only Starfy and Wozart, but also the Puchi Ogura. This causes the Kigurumi to deflate, revealing himself to Moe, Starfy, and Wozart. Seeing that his lies have been revealed, Puchi Ogura #6 flees, leaving behind a [[Key (Densetsu no Starfy 2 item)|Key]] which opens several keyholes around the area, one of which leads to the treasure chest containing the [[Densetsu no Starfy 2/Stuff#Clothes|Kombu Mawashi]] at the end of the Stage 6-1.

After defeating [[Ogura]] for the first time, a sound test option is available in [[Moe's House]]. When the music is played, Wotsaruto appears to be playing it with the Tone of Ocean, and Moe appears to be singing the song.

They claim that before passing by [[Gabun]], it's common practice to put him to sleep first. They tell the trio to watch close as they play the Tone of Ocean, but Gabun stays wide awake, saying that they're tired of hearing the same song over and over, shocking the musician.

After Wozart's failure, Starfy suggests that if Gabun's tired of hearing the same song, they could just make a new one. Moe boldly offers to sing Gabun a lullaby, to which Starfy says not to, with Wozart agreeing and telling Moe that he's tone deaf. After Moe gets angry, Wozart gets an idea, and says that they heard that the Legendary Instruments (Japanese: でんせつのがっき) used by the "[[Legendary Band]]" (Japanese: でんせつのバンド) were buried somewhere around the area. Wozart leaves the trio to locate three legendary instruments: Starfy finds the [[Legendary Guitar]], Starly finds the [[Legendary Bass]], and together the siblings find the [[Legendary Drums]] (given to them by the original members of the band, [[Gekojii]], [[Gekyojii]], and [[Jiilacanth]], respectively). After meeting back up with Wozart, Starly and Moe claim that they're playing the bass and drums, respectively, so Wozart says that they'll play the guitar they recently bought. But Starly says that one of the Legendary Instruments is already a guitar and that Starfy is playing it. Wondering what they'll do with their guitar, Moe snatches it from them and says that it's their thanks for helping them out (and obtaining the [[Densetsu no Starfy 3/Stuff#Accessories|Guitar]] [[Stuff]] Item as a result). Wozart, flustered, then asks what instrument they'll play, to which Moe says that they can just play the Tone of Ocean. Wozart then says that it doesn't fit in with the others, which Starly says not to worry about. Telling Moe that it's up to him, the clam begins to do something to the Tone of Ocean, much to Wozart's horror. When he's finished, the Tone of Ocean becomes a saxophone called the [[Ocean Saxophone|Sax of the Ocean]] (Japanese: {{alttext|海のサックス|Umi no Sakkusu}}), which Wozart uses in the band (albeit hesitantly). When they rock out, Gabun enjoys the music a lot, and it causes him to fall asleep.

After Starfy obtains the [[Legendary Guitar]] from Gekojii, Starly goes off to find the [[Legendary Bass]], where she runs into Gekyojii, meeting him for the first time. He says that he’ll give the instrument to Starly, but that he would like to see it before he does. By using her [[Crawl]] and [[Wall Jump]], Starly retrieves the Legendary Bass, to which Gekyojii reminisces about his time in the Legendary Band and reveals that he was a member (the other two being Gekojii and [[Jiilacanth]]).
