Hello, I'm new to the wiki. I just finished creating a map of the Lobber' Cave stage to put it as an additional picture for the Lobber's Cave page, however, everytime I try to upload the file, I am not able to do it, and red leters appear saying that I do not have permission to create a new page. If somebody can tell me how to upload the file i'd really appreaciate it. Thanks.

Doppel's attacks consist mostly of rolling around the arena to crash into Starfy. Starfy must hit Doppel with his [[Spin Attack]] while at the same time avoiding touching Doppel. Once Starfy has accomplished this, Doppel will make a dizzy animation, and Starfy will have a chance to attack. Sometimes, before Starfy can hit him or two one more times to deal critical damage, Doppel can burrow into the ground and reappear in one side of the screen to cancel Starfy's chance to deal damage. Doppel can also make trick Starfy to hit him while invunerable. When this happens, Starfy will go right through him, and Doppel will quickly attempt to smash Starfy against the nearest wall. Then, Doppel will roll around the sides and edges of the screen until Starfy deals the next three hits. If the player battles Doppel again after defeating [[Ogura]], each time Doppel makes his dizzy animation after being hit three times by Starfy, three smaller versions of Doppel will eject from him, and will try to attack Starfy before rapidly swimming off the screen.

'''Boctopus''' is a boss in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy]]''. He's an octopus that often wears a pirate hat, but when he's not wearing it his head appears to be that of an octopus dumpling. He captured [[Dolfy]]'s siblings, [[Dolchina and Dolshi]] in [[S.S. Logwater|Sunken Ship]].
His battle consists of dodging Boctopus's canon balls he shoots out of his mouth. If one of this canon balls hit Starfy, they will cause Starfy to move slower, and Boctopus will chase Starfy in an attempt to deal damage. However, if the player is far away or runs away to try to evade Boctopus, the canon ball effect will eventually run out, making Boctopus lose his opportunity to deal damage. There are two ways Boctopus can shoot canon balls: he can blast them horizontally, straight towarda Starfy, or he can shoot them upwards, such as to make them fall from the air and land on random patterns. Once Boctopus has shot a certain amount of bullets, he will jump, giving Starfy a chance to attack his vunerable underneath. However, the player must then move fast, for Boctopus also has the ability to smash his sharp tentacles into the ground, in an attempt to crush Starfy before he can get out of the way.

The upgrade allows Starfy to be able to move faster by using the B button.

Their name is obviously a pun using the words "antibodies" and "buddies". This makes sense, since they live inside a living creature's stomach.

This will disable his use of spikes allowing him to be damaged with a [[Star Spin]]. After taking damage, Bankirosu will regrow his spikes and move faster. Once his life bar is defeated, Bankirosu will disappear completely. If the player battles him again after defeating [[Ogura]], Bankirosu will gain two new moves: instead of blindly charging at Starfy, this time Bankirosu will chase Starfy in mid-charge before stopping, and when only two bars of his health remain, he will run away from Starfy while in his vunerable, spike-less state.

When a tune is played, normally Starfy will play the drums, and Starly will play with maracas. I haven't been able to find the full mangas, but the pictures look pretty good! If anybody here has the mangas, you should add some pictures from them and info about them. Maybe they have some things that weren't in the games. It also makes me question if we will ever see a Starfy anime (Although there are anime shorts/commercials, those don't really count)...

A few months ago, ''Densetsu no Stafy'' [#] and ''Densetsu no Starfy'' [#] were duplicate articles, so {{user|The Forgotten Beast}} moved all Densetsu no Stafy to Densetsu no Starfy. Should we stick to this plan of using ''Densetsu no Starfy''?
:I didn't go about changing every instance of 'Stafy' to 'Starfy', but did when editing some of the articles which needed to be edited for other things like adding navboxes because I wasn't really sure what we thought about it and didn't want to go around changing absolutely everything. On one hand, Stafy is the original Japanese title and the Game Boy Advance games and ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 4|Densetsu no Sta(rf)y 4]]'' were never released outside of Japan, though on the other hand Starfy is the localized name, and calling sutafī 'Stafy' assumes Japanese phonology for an English Wiki, where Starfy is still called Stafy in ''[[The Legendary Starfy]]'' in Japan. I have searched around a long time trying to find good maps for the basic layout of each of he stages. So I decided I'd do them for myself. The maps won't be so detailed I think. They will only contain basic information like which door leads to which and where is the boss located. I wondered it'd be cool if there where maps with little spoiler information or little guidelines, just like the super Metroid map. I think it would fit Starfy well since after beating the game, the post-game missions (like obtaining all the treasures in ''Densetsu no Stafy'') require a lot of exploration in each level. I am going to begin to work on the maps today or soon enough, so feel free to tell me if like or don't like the idea.

I haven't been able to find the full mangas, but the pictures look pretty good! If anybody here has the mangas, you should add some pictures from them and info about them. Maybe they have some things that weren't in the games. It also makes me question if we will ever see a Starfy anime (Although there are anime shorts/commercials, those don't really count)...

A few months ago, ''Densetsu no Stafy'' [#] and ''Densetsu no Starfy'' [#] were duplicate articles, so {{user|The Forgotten Beast}} moved all Densetsu no Stafy to Densetsu no Starfy. Should we stick to this plan of using ''Densetsu no Starfy''?
:I didn't go about changing every instance of 'Stafy' to 'Starfy', but did when editing some of the articles which needed to be edited for other things like adding navboxes because I wasn't really sure what we thought about it and didn't want to go around changing absolutely everything. On one hand, Stafy is the original Japanese title and the Game Boy Advance games and ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 4|Densetsu no Sta(rf)y 4]]'' were never released outside of Japan, though on the other hand Starfy is the localized name, and calling sutafī 'Stafy' assumes Japanese phonology for an English Wiki, where Starfy is still called Stafy in ''[[The Legendary Starfy]]'' in Japan. I have searched around a long time trying to find good maps for the basic layout of each of he stages. So I decided I'd do them for myself. The maps won't be so detailed I think. They will only contain basic information like which door leads to which and where is the boss located. I wondered it'd be cool if there where maps with little spoiler information or little guidelines, just like the super Metroid map. I think it would fit Starfy well since after beating the game, the post-game missions (like obtaining all the treasures in ''Densetsu no Stafy'') require a lot of exploration in each level. I am going to begin to work on the maps today soon enough, so feel free to tell me if like or don't like the idea.

When appearing in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 4]]'', he had a much more colorful shell, which had a small heart and also yellowish orange spikes.
Konk has gills on his head, which likely help him breath above and below water. Konk also has two paws which he uses to hold onto his shell.

Konk is more of a harmless bully than an actual enemy to [[Starfy]] and his friends. He loves [[Ruby]], and often gets into fights with [[Moe]] because of Moe's love of Ruby.

According to a flashback in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 3]]'' shown when Ogura is travelling through [[Misty Town]] towards [[Kachiwari Iceberg]], he fought with a young [[Papa Star]] who defeated Ogura with the help of [[Old Man Lobber]] and presumably imprisoned him in the [[jar]]. The [[fog]] in Misty Town reminds him of the battle at the time.

===''[[Densetsu no Starfy]]''===
While carrying the [[jar]], a crown and [[treasure]] in [[Pufftop]], [[Papa Star]]'s son Starfy accidentally released Ogura from his imprisonment in the mysterious jar. Just then, Ogura (whose name was still unknown to Starfy at this time) used his magical powers to create a terrible storm. Tornadoes then struck the Pufftop Palace. Starfy struggled to hang on, and eventually dropped into the ocean showing his [[Done For]] pose. Starfy fell straight into [[Lobber's Cave]], located on a small island. Later in the story, Ogura banished the young prince into the [[Deep Sea]].

Later, in [[Undersea Temple]], [[Old Man Lobber]] asks Starfy if he can locate a legendary book called the [[prophecy]] for him, which according to legend is said to be found in the temple. The first two times Starfy attempts to obtain the book, it disappears and he is blown away by the monster. After Starfy defeats [[Doppel]], Ogura leaves behind the jar and the prophecy. In [[Sea of Sky]], when Old Man Lobber begins to read the prophecy it reveals Ogura's name. It prophesied correctly that a large storm would hit the sea and that a hero would have to defeat Ogura's minions one after the other.

After the final battle with Ogura, Starfy makes up for his mistake by imprisoning Ogura in the jar once again, although he accidentally trips and knocks 45 [[treasure]] chests into the ocean. When Moe chases him, Starfy knocks over the jar and releases Ogura once again. If Starfy imprisons Ogura without obtaining all the treasure, he will continue to make the mistake of knocking the jar into the ocean again until all 45 treasure chests have been obtained.

In ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 2]]'', Ogura created [[Puchi Ogura|10 children]] who, with their father's power, were able to escape the jar. Ogura then captured [[Mama Star]] and brought her to his lair. After defeating his children, Starfy would then defeat Ogura once again.

In ''[[Densetsu no Starfy 3]]'', Evil permanently destroyed the jar, leaving Ogura with no prison. Ogura would then return to Evil in a hurry, trying not to be late.

While flying past [[Misty Town]], Ogura remembers losing to [[Papa Star]]. When Ogura arrives in [[Kachiwari Iceberg]], he is hiding because Evil; whose name is first revealed at this time is angry, just like when Ogura lost to Papa Star. In a flashback, Evil says he'll give Ogura "one last chance" (presumably at conquering Pufftop).

Later, while flying past the [[Jungle]], Ogura found several pots belonging to [[Burako]] and broke some of them because they reminded him of living in the dark [[jar]] which Ogura hated. When Ogura made it to [[Flamer Volcano]], he blew away the [[Chibi-Sansho]] who were throwing rocks at him and reminded him of his deceased children — the [[Puchi Ogura]].

In [[Gabun Ocean Trench]], [[Taiblond]] reveals photographs that show Ogura headed through [[Old Castle]], passing [[Undersea Ruins]] and [[Sea of Sky]] on the way. When Ogura arrives at Old Castle, Evil tells him off for being late. Ogura apologizes to Evil but Evil states that the conquest of Pufftop has failed entirely. He again gives Ogura one last chance. Evil gives Ogura a "power up", and alters Ogura's appearance to make him stronger.

When Starfy, Starly and Moe reach Old Castle, they do not get to confront Evil and discover through the [[Pufftop Scholar]] that they require 42 [[Evil Crystal]]s to truly defeat Evil. The Pufftop Scholar gives Starfy and others one of them, while all but one of the others is found at the end of past levels. Short of one Evil Crystal, in the final battle with Evil things look bad for Starfy, Starly and Moe until Ogura appears and spares the last Evil Crystal; the reason being that he did not want to lose his heart. Ogura (referred to as ボロボロのオーグラ改 ('''Altered Worn-Out Ogura''')) dies to the grief of Starfy, Starly and Moe — it is revealed that he had sacrificed his life to save Starfy, Starly and Moe and defeat Evil.

*In chapter four, [[DSM04|I Hate Old Man Lobber Fii!]], Starfy drops the [[jar]], releasing Ogura as well as various other enemies like [[Konk]].

*In chapter eight, [[DSM08|False Starfy Appearance Fii!]] (volume one's final chapter), [[Moe]] is taken to [[List of manga locations#Hideout|Doppel's hideout]] where Doppel shows him to Ogura, who hypnotizes him.

Starfy decides to return to Pufftop after fighting enemies, but the crisis prevents a planned welcome home party for Starfy from taking place. Starfy tries to get Ogura back in the jar and he succeeds, but only after some trouble where he and Moe almost get stuck in the jar.

*In chapter two, [[DSM10|Out on a New Adventure Fii!]], after Starfy disagrees to work as hard as the [[Pufftop Guard]]s seem to work, [[Papa Star]] slaps him, making him feel angry. The next morning [[Mama Star]] says she agrees with Papa Star. Starfy, in frustration, seems to threaten to release Ogura from the jar. After Mama Star slaps Starfy, Starfy attacks Mama Star, and this causes her to fall and break the jar. Ogura kidnaps Mama Star after he is released from the jar. Despite being mad at Mama Star, Starfy is upset about Mama Star being kidnapped and doesn't hesitate to leave Pufftop to save her.
:Starfy brings Moe with him, thus starting their new journey. Mama Star apparently attacks Ogura, leaving him injured with an 'X' on his right eye.

*In chapter three, [[DSM11|Nostalgic Reunion Fii!]] takes place after Mama Star was kidnapped by Ogura, though he is not actually seen in this chapter even though he appears in a thought bubble.

*In chapter five, [[DSM13|Get Mama Back Fii!]], Starfy misses Mama Star after she was kidnapped by Ogura and is sitting down in sadness next to the ocean. After Starfy finds a bottle with a video tape inside, he plays it with a video player and it is revealed to be a message from Mama Star to Starfy, who informs him she is in [[Ogura Castle]].
:Later, after Starfy and Moe find it, they have to fight Mama Star after Ogura tells them she has been brainwashed. Starfy successfully traps Ogura in the jar. "To tell the peace", Starfy, Moe and Mama Star throw many bottles full of video tapes (video messages) into the sea, but Starfy worries that the jar may have been thrown into the sea with the video tapes.

*In chapter seven, "[[DSM15|Big Panic, the Jar is Broken Fii!]]", the people of [[Pufftop]] are celebrating the return of peace to their home, but Starfy accidentally smashes the jar into a table. The jar breaks and Ogura gets out of a hole from the jar, but he happens to be asleep. Starfy tries to fit Ogura back in the hole in the jar and seals up the hole with tape, but this doesn't work as the tape becomes undone and his tail sticks out of the jar again. After trying to hide Ogura from Papa Star and the Pufftop Guards, Starfy accidentally drops the jar from Pufftop Palace after spitting it out, pretending Ogura's tail is food to fool Papa Star. The jar then lands on a cloud.
:An old man called [[Shuuri-jiisan]] tells Starfy and Moe that he is running a repair shop, and offers to repair the jar if Starfy and Moe bring him some cured clay. Shuuri-jiisan claims the clay is 'out of stock', and Starfy and Moe are forced to use a map to go through six highly dangerous areas to reach the clay. These areas include the [[List of manga locations#Ocean of Sharks|Ocean of Sharks]], the [[List of manga locations#Magma Reservoir|Magma Reservoir]], the [[List of manga locations#Sea Urchin's Nest|Sea Urchin's Nest]], the [[List of manga locations#Sharp Tunnel|Sharp Tunnel]], the [[List of manga locations#Waterfall Climb|Waterfall Climb]], and the [[List of manga locations#Sludge Pond|Sludge Pond]].
:Navigating these areas leaves Starfy and Moe in a bad shape. After they obtain the clay, it is revealed that Shuuri-jiisan is Ogura in disguise.
:As the other residents of Pufftop are still partying, Papa Star sees two 'shooting stars'. Papa Star starts to make a wish, but the [[Pufftop Guard|guards]] tell him that it is actually Starfy and Moe chasing Ogura.

*In chapter nine, "[[DSM17|Meeting a Friendly Tree Fii!]]", while Starfy and Moe are sleeping in a tent in a forest they hear a loud noise and Starfy thinks it could be Ogura, but it happens to be a giant tree called [[Yugudorajii]] moaning in pain, because one of his branches is broken. Moe had broken one of his branches to use as a tent peg, but didn't want to say so.
:After Starfy puts a bandage around the broken branch, Yugudorajii rewards him with fruit and tells him and Moe more about himself. He said that he attacks anyone that tries to cut his branches and said someone recently cut one of his branches while he was asleep. Moe nervously suggests that Ogura is responsible, and Yugudorajii says he knows Ogura and saw him go towards a mountain the day before.
:Starfy and Moe climb the mountain, but they notice that a fire has started at the forest they left, and it is revealed to them that Ogura clearly started the fire because he is seen passing by with a torch. Starfy extinguishes the fire with a "water tornado" [[Star Spin]], only for Starfy and Moe to find that Yugudorajii had already burned down. Starfy starts to cry, but a voice tells him not to cry. A small tree comes out of the ground where the branch tent peg was and introduces himself as Yugudorajii. The smaller Yugudorajii tells Starfy and Moe that branches planted in the soil can become new trees. Starfy cries with joy. Moe proudly tells them that he was one who planted the branch. The new Yugudorajii grows some fruit. Moe assumes it's a gift for him, but then Yugudorajii attacks him for breaking a branch off the bigger Yugudorajii.

*In chapter ten, "[[DSM18|Mines are Dangerous Fii!]]", Starfy and Moe are seen on the top of a mountain, searching for Ogura. When they try to find the source of the smell of some tasty food, they encounter [[Sir Hokwi]] and the [[Hokwi Group]] who want to take care of some land mines placed in the town by Ogura.

*In chapter eleven, "[[DSM19|The Sealed Jar and the Big Disturbance Fii!]]" (volume two's final chapter), a [[Pufftop Guard]] riding a flying star-shaped object called the [[Pufftop Vehicle]] introduces a longer version of the jar. Ogura comes over and knocks it out of Starfy's hand. Moe grabs the jar in anger and tries to stop Ogura from using it but Ogura takes the cork out of the jar and it sucks up Starfy and the Pufftop Vehicle.
:Starfy is forced to escape from the jar using the Pufftop Vehicle, but is worried that everyone was defeated by Ogura, so he checks the places he has previously visited, only to find no one is there. When Starfy visits Pufftop as his last destination, he finds Ogura. Starfy wants to trap him inside a jar, but Ogura thinks he is a fool because Starfy has no jar, and knocks Starfy into the ocean with his tail towards some spikes. Ogura comments that he wishes he could "come back to life".
:Starfy is saved by Moe by a rope that pulls him out of the jar. It turns out that he was pulled out of the jar by Moe, who winks at Starfy. Starfy is surprised to see that everyone he was looking for are there to cheer him on and they are all glad that he is safe.
:Moe and the Pufftop Guard explain that both Ogura and Starfy were sucked up by the long jar and Mama Star explains that the world inside the jar is similar to Starfy's world, but without any living things, to which Starfy replies that he didn't know that at all. Starfy feels honored that everyone is there for him, including Old Man Lobber who Starfy is close to. He seems to have recovered from his memory loss in chapter three of volume two, Nostalgic Reunion Fii! and he also explains that news has come in that Ogura has died. Starfy starts to cry hysterically but says that it is 'good everyone is unharmed'.

Ogura can summon thunderstorms to rain down lightning bolts on all his victims. Ogura also has the ability to produce fire, twisters, bombs, icicles, black holes via his mouth among others, huge lasers, flaming meteors, wind, and even heal a bar of health when in peril. He has several transformations that he uses to fight his foes.

* If one looks at [[Konk]] closely it can be noticed that he bears some resemblance to Ogura without the fire on his head and with a shell.

'''Kragen''' is a boss in ''[[Densetsu no Starfy]]''. He, along with [[Mokumocchu]] and [[Kaninari]], are the bosses of [[Sea of Sky]] who were summoned by [[Ogura]]. To defeat him, Starfy must attack a special section of Kragen's tentacles while avoiding their tops, whhich when touched will cause Starfy to get stuck and receive damage. Kragen will also attempt to hit Starfy by moving his tentacles from side to side, and their movement speed will increase as the battle progresses.

Before the game's release, Kragen appeared in a pre-release screenshot of [[Densetsu no Starfy (GBC)|''Densetsu no Starfy'' for the Game Boy Color]] on page 60 of the 2001 edition of the [[Game Boy Encyclopedia]].

In ''[[Densetsu no Starfy]]'', he is first seen in [[Lobber's Cave]] wearing an ordinary gray shell. Herman asks Starfy to find his missing home (his conch shell - the [[Pretty Shell]]). After finding a [[Kettle]], Herman, believing it may have been washed further, gives Starfy a key leading to another part of the level, where Starfy finds a tusk shell - the [[Dentalium Shell]]. After finding the tusk shell, Herman - who finds the shell too small - thinks that it is behind the rocks. He then teaches Starfy how to use the [[Star Spin]] attack. Later, Starfy finds the colorful conch shell and returns it to Herman. Herman is very grateful for Starfy and leads Starfy to the next stage, [[Coral Reef]]. Herman tagged the Goblup with a tracker, so that Starfy can easily find it. By using his Star Spin attack, Starfy manages to free all of the Coddies and return them to a grateful Herman safely. Herman then tells Starfy the whereabouts of [[Big Squiddy]] and [[Bunston]].
====Side Quest No. 1: Herman's 5 Red Pearls====
Herman appears again in the "Herman's 5 Red Pearls" [[Side Quests|Side Quest]] found in Stage 1-2. This is the first Side Quest found in the game. *The journal entries for Side Quests No. 17 "Juggle This" and No. 18 "Gliding By" in ''The Legendary Starfy'' refer to Herman and have descriptions "Looks like Herman can't get enough juggling! Can you beat his record?" and "Use your Glide ability to beat Herman's jumping record" respectively, even though [[Herbert]] was the one who set these Side Quests and not Herman.
**The game never implies in the actual Side Quests themselves that the player has to beat Herman's records or set these records from the requests of Herman rather than Herbert, so this might be an oversight from the game developers.
