:About time I answer this 8-year-old question. The last two Heart Gems in the original table (Stage 9-3 and 9-4) share an internal ID (specifically, bParam 0), meaning that when you collect one Heart Gem, the other one disappears! I dumped the object data for Starfy 4 to find this, and I also found two other Heart Gems with matching IDs (1-3 and 5-1), the latter of which is new. In Densetsu no Starfy 4, Starfy and Starly's maximum amount of HP is 250. The official guidebook lists 15 Heart Gem (Konpeitou) locations for areas and 6 Heart Gem locations in Manianko's Shop. As Starfy and Starly start with 50 HP, this means one Heart Gem becomes unavailable at some point (otherwise it would be possible to get 260 HP). - About time I answer this 8-year-old question. The last two Heart Gems in the original table (Stage 9-3 and 9-4) share an internal ID (specifically, bParam 0), meaning that when you collect one Heart Gem, the other one disappears!
