In Old Castle, Evil struck Moe with lightning after Kyorozou mentioned Evil and Moe said that he would never help him, but Kyorozou went in Moe's place and pushed him away to try and endure the attack. Kyorozou unfortunately couldn't stand the attack and passed away.

During the events of the Old Castle's 3rd stage, after Kyorozou lures Moe into a trap and brings him to another room, Evil traps Moe in a cage of lightning, attempting to coerce Moe into cooperating with him. Starfy and Starly, who chased after Moe, got caught in an electrified ring. Evil tells Moe that Starfy and Starly will die if they touch the ring. Moe's saying that he needs to tell them prompts Evil to give him a microphone. But he tells Moe to lie to them in order to save his own life. When Moe instead tells Starfy and Starly to avoid touching the ring, he talks about how his father told him a long time ago that "a thief starts out as a liar," to Kyorozou's surprise. As Evil fires a lightning bolt to kill Moe, his father, whose heart was changed after hearing his son's words, pushes Moe out of the way and takes the full force of the attack, dying in the process. His plan to kill Starfy, Starly, and/or Moe ruined, Evil takes his leave, but Starfy, Starly, and Moe quickly chase after him after a heartfelt conversation with Kyorozou.

			Prior to [[Credits\|Staff Roll 1]], players do not get to battle Evil. Evil's first and second form (who may be known as '''Jashin Evil''') can only be battled after completing the game once, but the player can only truly defeat Evil with the power of the 42 [[Evil Crystal]]s. However, Ogura falls victim to the Evil Crystals as well, and it is through his sacrifice that the trio, and Pufftop, are saved.
