This is a guide to finding the rare enemies in Starfy 4 in order to completely fill out its Picture Book. While they may not be hard to find, due to how spacious some of Starfy 4's maps can be, some enemies can be somewhat hard to get to. The enemies will be listed in order of stage found, not Picture Book entry. The red sections on the maps are where the enemies can be found. If any enemies are found via an area past a closed Tobiramajin, the answer to its riddle will be provided.
World 1: Lobber's Villa
Whamster
Entry No. 6
Habitat: Lobber's Villa
Found: In Midair (1-1)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: Whamster is not hard to get to or find, but may be hard to Spin into. When you enter the room Whamster's in, it will fly away from you, possibly off screen. If it does this, simply re-enter the room and try to hit it when it initially is frozen in shock.
Chokita
Entry No. 5
Habitat: Lobber's Villa
Found: On Land/Underwater (1-2)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: Chokita is at the very top-right of the area highlighted surrounded by two big blue pearls.
Tree of Beginnings
Daffodile
Entry No. 11
Habitat: Tree of Beginnings
Found: On Land (2-1)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: Once again, another easy one to find. Head to the topmost right of the starting room, and you'll see the Daffodile surrounded by 4 Seawee.
Red Malicious
Entry No. 16
Habitat: Tree of Beginnings
Found: On Land (2-2)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: Once in the room, make your way to the topmost right part of the room. Hit the switch and use the platforms to cross over to the left part of the room, where you'll find the Red Malicious.
Cupid Village
Ametel
Entry No. 18
Habitat: Cupid Village
Found: On Land/Underwater (3-1)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: Once in the room, make your way left and drop all the way down and then head right. Switch to Starly if you haven't and Wall Jump, then follow the path. Once at the bottom, jump to the topmost platform and then Low Spin past the blocks. Wall Jump again and then fall to the very bottom, where Ametel is.
Astro Bagger
Entry No. 23
Habitat: Cupid Village
Found: Midair (3-3)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: Once in the room, the Astro Bagger will be at the topmost right of the room. You can easily get here by Air Jumping onto, and then off of, the pushable platform near the entrance of the room.
Split Swamp
Pino
Entry No. 30
Habitat: Split Swamp
Found: On Land/Underwater (4-2)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: Once in the room, there are some cracked walls. Spin into the cracks on the right and follow the path until you see a room to your right. Spin into the room and Pino will come into view. Once it stops spinning and tries to attack, you can beat the Pino and add it to your Picture Book.
Splatch
Entry No. 36
Habitat: Split Swamp
Found: On Land (4-4)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: Once in the room, make your way to solid ground and then head to the upper left (Starfy/Starly's icon should be parallel to the topmost door icon here). Then head left to see Splatch chillin' out. Then you can beat it up :)
Koimaro's Retreat
Marukoro
Entry No. 46
Habitat: Koimaro's Retreat
Found: On Land (5-2)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: This enemy is easy to miss, simply because it requires a bit of exploration while using the Angler Ride. But hey, it's not that bad when I'm kinda showing you where it is! But finding the room is the hardest part of finding Marukoro, since once inside the room, you can make your way to them very easily.
Ikarin
Entry No. 44
Habitat: Koimaro's Retreat
Found: Underwater (5-3)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: Once in the room, Ikarin will be near the bottom of the room. It's fairly hard to miss since it's a giant pink fish holding an anchor.
Flourishing Desert
Scorpebble
Entry No. 54
Habitat: Flourishing Desert
Found: On Land/Underwater (6-2)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: Once you enter the room, just swim down past Mermaid's Shell and you'll find the Scorpebble past some breakable blocks.
Kaimo
Entry No. 58
Habitat: Flourishing Desert
Found: On Land (6-3)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: Progress through the beginning of the level as normal until you reach some flying carpets. Instead of jumping on them, jump down onto the ground, where Kaimo will try to dig to you and claw at you to steal your pearls. Jump at the right time or hit it with a Shooting Star while its digging and spin into it to register it into your Picture Book.
Mt. Millennium
Afrottotiger
Entry No. 66
Habitat: Mt. Millennium
Found: Underwater (7-1)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: Once inside the room, make your way around some Helmet Crabs. Above you should be an Afrottotiger swimming in a "U" shape. Make this quick and hit them to enter it into the Picture Book. If you're also looking for the second rare enemy here, take the Warp Jizou and head towards the Tobiramajin.
Rousokku
Entry No. 68
Habitat: Mt. Millennium
Found: On Land (7-1)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: Once in the room, navigate around the spikes and Pajammers and get to the bottommost right corner where you'll see Rousokku walking around an orb of water.
Old Tower
Soiru
Entry No. 84
Habitat: Old Tower
Found: Underwater (8-2)
Past Tobiramajin?: No
How to find: The hardest part is getting to them, and even then, it's just going through the bottom door when you reach a crossroads in the preceding room. Once inside, there are 3 Soiru that are out in the open. Spin into at least one of them twice to enter it into your Picture Book.
Smashcan
Entry No. 81
Habitat: Old Tower
Found: On Land (8-3)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: After getting past the Tobiramajin, simply go to the very bottom of the room and a Smashcan'll be on your left.
Dejeel's Castle
Pearl Dragon
Entry No. 95
Habitat: Dejeel's Castle
Found: In Midair (9-2)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: This can be a long trek (and a slow one if you're on emulator), but just follow the doors to get to the room with the Pearl Dragons in them. After entering the room after the Tobiramajin, look at the map and go through every door going down. So from the Tobiramajin, go through the first door icon on the bottom right, then the door icon directly under the one you just came out of, and then the door across from the door you come out of. Feel free to use this (shoddy) guide to help.
You should see a Pearl Dragon the minute you enter the highlighted room. Spin into at least one of them twice to enter them into your Picture Book.
Pearl Sprite
Entry No. 93
Habitat: Dejeel's Castle
Found: On Land/Underwater (9-3)
Past Tobiramajin?: Yes
|
How to find: After getting past the Tobiramajin, Pearl Sprite is the giant red flower you see in front of you. BUT MAKE SURE TO ACTUALLY DEFEAT HER. Don't make the same mistake I did and simply hit her once. She will only be recorded in your Picture Book if you actually make her disappear. (I may be wrong on this actually, but I'd say do it just to be sure.)
ALSO BIG NOTE: 9-3 is probably the best place to grind for pearls in the game. Without using the Magical Coin Spill or collecting any pearls, the Pearl Sprites give you around 360ish pearls on their own and you can make them respawn by exiting and re-entering the room. So if you're trying to clean out Maniankou's Shop, this is as good of a place as any!
