Side Quest

In the Nintendo DS[1] game The Legendary Starfy[2], there are Side Quests branching off of each Level of each Area[3] - except the first Level of the Area. Completing these Side Quests will unlock Secret Levels in the Area. The doors leading to the Side Quests are hidden, but can be found using Moe's Sniffer[4]. Below is a list of Side Quests, the characters[5] who are involved, and the Secret Levels that they unlock.

Gluglug Lagoon[6]

1-2: Star Spin[7]

In Star Spin, Herman[8] has lost 5 Red Pearls[9]. You must help Herman and find the pearls[10]. Herman will then grant you access to Secret Level 1.

1-3: Mysterious Powers

In Mysterious Powers, Fork[11] challenges you to a race. You must beat him in the race. Fork will then grant you access to Secret Level 2.

1-4: Big Squiddy[12] Brawl

In Big Squiddy Brawl, Kit Fish[13] asks you to challenge her father, Fat Cat[14] to a wrestling match. You have to push Fat Cat to the other end of the field. Kit Fish will then grant you access to Secret Level 3.

Hotcha Springs[15]

2-2: The Wise Old Lobster

In The Wise Old Lobster, Old Man Lobber[16] asks you to transform into Monstar[17] and light all of the bundles of wood on fire within the alloted time. Old Man Lobber will then grant you access to Secret Level 1.

2-3: HEY-OH!

In HEY-OH!, Moe[18] is freaked out by a strange sound. He wants you to go figure out what it is. When you get closer to the source, the noise gets louder. In the end, it turns out to be one of the Squirts[19] practicing his bird imitation. The Squirt then grants you access to Secret Level 2.

2-4: Hot-Spring Snapper[20] Battle

In Hot-Spring Snapper Battle, The Squirts challenge you to reach Bawss[21] in time. The Squirts then grant you access to Secret Level 3.

Chillydip Cove[22]

3-2: The Spin Is Mightier

In The Spin Is Mightier, Piplion[23] aks you to help her knock down the Mini Ping[24]'s snowmen. You must knock down 12 snowmen and keep them down in 60 seconds. Piplion then grants you access to Secret Level 1.

3-3: Bunston[25]'s New Power

In Bunston's New Power, Piplion challenges you to transform into Starpedo[26] and swim through 40 rings in 60 seconds. Piplion will then grant you access to Secret Level 2.

3-4: King Ping[27]

In King Ping, Puplion[28] needs your help fending off a horde of King Ping's Mini Pings trying to take his snacks. You must hold them back for 60 seconds. Puplion will then grant you access to Secret Level 3.

Sogwood Forest

4-2: Three's A Crowd

In Three's A Crowd, Moe is curious about how Zunbies[29] absorb each other. You must defeat a bunch of Zunbies and the Mega Zunbie[30] they form. Moe will then grant you access to Secret Level 1.

4-3: The Papes[31] Chase

In The Papes Chase, Old Man Vern[32] says he hid a treasure deep below the surface of a Poison Pond[33]. He needs you to go and retrieve it. You must use the protection of Capfish[34] to swim down and retrieve the chest. Old Man Vern will then grant you access to Secret Level 2.

4-4: The Terrible Trio[35]

In The Terrible Trio, Old Man Vern is angry about the Mushrews[36] eating his mushrooms. You must eliminate all 15 Mushrews within 00:60. Old Man Vern will then grant you access to Secret Level 3.
