The original model of the Nintendo DS.

The Nintendo DS is a dual-screened handheld gaming device created by Nintendo. It features two screens, one of them is touch-sensitive. "DS" stands for Double-Screen (or Dual-Screen in North America). The system also uses many new features, such as stereo sound, and microphone. The DS also provides backwards compatibility for GBA games in the double slot (or the dual slot in North America). It has been remade 3 times as the DS Lite, DSi, and the DSi XL. Two games in The Legendary Starfy series were released for the Nintendo DS.
