It is assumable that any initial plans of releasing Densetsu no Starfy for the Game Boy Color were abandoned, in anticipation of the release of the [[Game Boy Advance]] (which was previously given the tentative name 'AGB' or 'Advanced Game Boy'). In its replacement, [[Densetsu no Starfy]] was released for the Game Boy Advance on September 6, 2002.
