The Slamclam (Berorin in Japan) is a blue clam-like enemy found in The Legendary Starfy series. They attack with a licking uppercut which can reach the player character even after short jumps. In The Legendary Starfy, they appear in Skydye Heights. They first appeared in Densetsu no Starfy 4.

"Don't let Starfy get caught by this guy's licking uppercut!! Look closely when Slamclam whips out his tongue! Do you see anything?" (#047)

The 'tongue' of a Slamclam actually appears to be its whole whole body. When a Slamclam jumps up to lick [[Starfy or Starly, looking at its tongue closely will reveal eyes, a small mouth and miniature arms, meaning that the shell is nothing more than a hard protective casing.

-If you look at the toy description, you will see that it says - "Do you see anything?". For 5 minutes I jumped over the same Slamclam over and over again. Finally, I figured out their secret. Their body is not actually their body! Confused? Let me put it this way - when you try to jump over a Slamclam, it jumps up and licks you. When it licks you, if you look at its tongue ''very'' closely, you will see that it has eyes, a little mouth, and miniature arms, so its tongue is actually its whole body! The shell is just a hard, protective casing.
