For those whom I must protect...... (Japanese: 守るべきものの ために……, Mamoru Beki Mono no Tame ni......) is the thirteenth chapter of the Densetsu no Starfy R manga, and the final chapter of Volume 1.
Synopsis
The chapter is set at Pufftop Palace, and begins sometime in the morning or day in which Moe is wide awake but Starfy is still getting out of bed. Moe comes rushing into Starfy's room, to wake him up and tell him that something terrible is happening. Moe turns on the television to watch the news ("TNN"), and the news reporter exclaims that the moon is falling from the sky and is about to hit Pufftop. Starfy and Moe look out of the window, to find to their own horror that the moon is indeed going to hit Pufftop.
Moe is frightened, but Starfy decides to be brave and attempt to stop the moon. Starfy walks out into the main passage with a cart full of goods, but Starfy is walking far too slowly, so Moe quickly runs up to Starfy and pushes him along. Starfy and Moe find Starly and many Pufftop Guards who insist that Starfy and others evacuate Pufftop Palace. Starfy and Moe see Mattel and Coral running out of the palace, so Starfy, Starly, Moe, Mattel and Coral all rush outside to join an assembly of the Pufftop Guards.
At this point, the moon has already crushed most of Pufftop Palace. Mattel feels sad, and worries if the moon will strike the nearby Amy Kingdom's castle but this gives Starfy the confidence to strike the moon. Starfy decides to shoot up into the sky, and all of the others fear for his own safety. Starfy uses a similar attack to his Shooting Star ability to successfully puncture a hole which goes all the way through the moon. Pufftop Palace is still damaged, but the moon is projected to land into the ocean instead of Amy Castle, to the relief of Mattel and Coral. Starfy, Starly, Moe and the Pufftop Guards are now hard at work repairing Pufftop Palace.

- The events of this chapter may have been a reference to the final battle with Mega Mashtooth in The Legendary Starfy, where Starfy pushes the moon into Mega Mashtooth.
- TNN probably stands for "Tenkai News Network" as a play on television networks such as JNN and CNN.
