Gabun is a huge robotic hermit crab in Densetsu no Starfy 3 that truly finds rock 'n' roll music from the Legendary Band more relaxing than Wotsaruto's lullabies. Much like The Whale, he gets a tummy ache caused by Bankirosu at some point. He also gets a tummy ache from Hirara.

Name Origin

• Gabun's name most likely comes from Gabugabu (がぶがぶ, to gulp down) and/or Gaburi (がぶり, to chomp or gulp).

Trivia

• Gabun uses the personal pronoun Boku in Japanese
• The way Gabun's name is spelled in Japanese (ガブーン) is very close to how Laboon from the One Piece franchise's name is spelled (ラブーン).
  • Additionally, both creatures swallow the main characters at some point: Gabun swallowing Starfy, Starly, and Moe to stop Hirara and later Bankirosu from making his stomache hurt, and Laboon swallowing the Straw Hats in retaliation after Luffy punches it in the eye.
