Next Generation World Hobby Fair (Japanese: 次世代ワールドホビーフェア), often shortened to World Hobby Fair, abbreviated as WHF, is a Japanese video game and toys event held at the beginning of every year and summer sponsored by Shogakukan. [1]

Events featuring games in The Legendary Starfy series

July 2002 event

The Densetsu no Starfy section

Densetsu no Starfy was one of the games exhibited at the 16th World Hobby Fair event which opened on July 13, 2002. [2] The event was held at the Makuhari Messe convention center in the Mihamu ward, Chiba city, Japan. [3] Wall decorations of artwork from the game were shown, as well as stuffed toys of Moe (Japanese: キョロスケ, Kyorosuke) and Old Man Lobber (Japanese: ラブじいさん, Rob-jiisan) which were hanged on the wall.

Other games exhibited at the event included titles such as Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Mega Collection.

January 2006 event

Densetsu no Starfy 4 was one of the games exhibited at the 23rd World Hobby Fair event which opened on January 15, 2006. [4]. The event was held at Osaka Dome (January 15th), the Makuhari Messe in the Mihamu ward, Chiba city, Japan (January 21-21nd), the Nagoya Dome (January 29th) and the Fukuoka Yahoo! JAPAN Dome (February 5th).

Other games exhibited at the event included titles such as Pokémon Ranger and Super Mario Strikers.

July 2008 event

The Legendary Starfy was one of the games exhibited at the 28th World Hobby Fair event which opened on July 12, 2008. [5] The event was held in the Makuhari Messe convention center in the Mihamu ward, Chiba city, Japan (July 12-13th) and the Sapporo Dome in Toyohira ward, Sapporo|, Japan (July 21st).

Other games exhibited at the event included titles such as Wario Land: Shake It! and Mario Kart Wii.
