Tatsunomama is a female mother seahorse who acts as an ally to Starfy. Her children are known as the Tatsunoko. Tatsunomama allows the player play Seahorse Child Catch. Tatsunomama's children closly ressemble the Tatsubo.
Trivia
- Tatsunomama uses the pronoun Watashi in Japanese.
- Tatsunomama's name and concept is a play on tatsunoko (タツノコ), a Japanese word meaning "seahorse" which literally translates to "dragon's child". As the "-ko" in her children's name means "child", her name in turn adds "mama" to the end in order to reflect her status as their parent.
