Jiilacanth is a cool-looking blue coelacanth who appears in two games: Densetsu no Starfy and Densetsu no Starfy 3.
In Densetsu no Starfy, he lets the player play the Round and Round Sunglasses minigame. He leads the player to a room with a Dokazun to help Starfy complete the Picture Book if he meets him after beating the game and clears his minigame on hard.
In Densetsu no Starfy 3, he helps Starfy and his band, the Legendary Band, by letting them use the Legendary Drums.
