Mattel ^[1] is a cute pink fish from the Amy Kingdom who first appeared in Densetsu no Starfy 4, where she seeks Starfy's help in saving her homeland from evil invaders. She is a maid who is one of the four sages, who becomes a princess at the end of the game. Starfy has a strong crush on her.

Name origin

Possibly incorporates teru, 照る (テル) meaning 'to shine', or 'shining'. Mattel sometimes appears glittering in her appearance.
