In Densetsu no Starfy
Bubbles made their first appearance in Densetsu no Starfy. Small bubbles may be seen that appear near Starfy while Starfy is underwater. These bubbles are solely a graphical effect and are believed to have no known effect on the gameplay.
Larger but still small bubbles also appear out of holes. Starfy can go through these from the left and right but they act as solid objects that Starfy can stand on while he is standing above them. These bubbles will pop after reaching a spike trap.
