Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (known in Japan as Mario & Luigi RPG, マリオ&ルイージRPG) is a role-playing video game for the Game Boy Advance, starring Mario and Luigi. It was developed by AlphaDream, with minigames from Vanpool and published by Nintendo.

The game was followed by three sequels, in order of release: Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, for the Nintendo DS and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team for Nintendo 3DS.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga takes place in the Beanbean Kingdom. Mario and Luigi (and initially Bowser) join forces on a quest to recover Princess Peach's voice and stop the evil witch Cackletta from awakening the power of the legendary Beanstar which has the ability to grant wishes and fulfill anyone's greatest desires.

As with games in the Super Mario Advance series, a remake of the Mario Bros. arcade game with multiplayer was included in the game.

Relevance to The Legendary Starfy series

Starfy makes a cameo appearance in the Yoshi Theater, where he appears on the poster of a movie titled 'Legend of Stafy'. This was Starfy's first appearance outside of Japan. The artwork depicts the front cover of Densetsu no Starfy.
