Talking (Japanese: はなしかける) is an ability in all games in The Legendary Starfy series, where Starfy or Starly talk to another character. Although in the games Starfy never seems to take part in the conversation (unlike in the manga) Starly may join in and talk herself.
A conversation can start if Starfy or Starly approach certain characters or if the player presses the up button near the character, or the X button in The Legendary Starfy, causing Starfy or Starly to step back and the conversation to begin. Also, Moe often hides underground, so the player must use a Star Spin to bring him up and initiate a conversation this way. In Densetsu no Starfy 4, the player can talk to Moe by pressing the X button in front of a Public Telephone.
Talking is only listed on the Abilities List in Densetsu no Starfy 2 and Densetsu no Starfy 3, although in Densetsu no Starfy 4, Public Telephone is its own ability.
